The Grateful Crane Ensemble would not be able to bring our shows to you without the help of volunteers. If you are interested in learning how you can help us, please contact us at (310) 995-5841 or send an email with “Volunteer” in the subject line to gratefulcrane@gmail.com.
Along with our shows and community programs, Grateful Crane is frequently asked to provide entertainment and programming for gala dinners, senior and volunteer lunches, anniversary and birthday parties and Tohoku events throughout the JA community. Many of these events have featured Grateful Crane singers performing favorite Japanese and American songs, while others have commissioned us to create presentations that reflect their particular group and the stories they represent. Examples include Go For Broke’s “Evening of Aloha” (telling the story of the breaking of the Gothic Line) and Tuna Canyon Coalition’s fundraising luncheon (telling of the Issei’s confinement at the Tuna Canyon detention station). Also, because of our involvement with providing relief to Tohoku, Japan, we have been asked to perform at Tohoku related events such as the annual “Love to Nippon” event at LAPD Headquarters, a luncheon for visiting youth from Fukushima at the Japanese American National Museum, and the Fukushima Honda Tomodachi Concert at the Aratani Theatre.
If you are interested in booking the Grateful Crane Ensemble for your next event, please contact us at (310) 995-5841 or send an email with “Booking GCE” in the subject line to gratefulcrane@gmail.com.
