Online Silent Auction and Concert

As the situation surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic has developed over the past several months and with the uncertainty of the virus potentially reemerging this Fall, the board of directors for the Grateufl Crane Ensemble has decided to cancel the 2020 dinner altogether.

We have come to this difficult conclusion out of an abundance of caution and careful consideration for our attendees, volunteers, and cast in light of ongoing concerns over coronavirus disease 2019. This decision is out of the utmost respect for the well-being and safety of our supporters, guests, and community, especially those who are elderly.

As we face the coming months and what is certain to be a “new normal” together, we are looking for new ways to continue bringing the joy of music and theater to the community, and telling our stories--especially those of perseverance. We would be deeply grateful to those that can contribute the dinner payment as a tax-deductible donation to the Grateful Crane Ensemble, which will greatly assist us during this time. However, should you or members of your party wish to request a refund, please send us all names and addresses, and we will gladly send refunds in the mail.

Thank you for your understanding and for your generous support of our dinner in honor of Hiroshi Kashiwagi. It is deeply appreciated by everyone at Grateful Crane.

Instead of the live program and silent auction that would normally accompany our fundraiser dinner, we have decided to move our silent auction online and to put on a virtual concert. Details about the online silent auction and virtual performance will be posted here in the coming weeks. Stay tuned!
